M.A. in Counseling Psychology, MFT emphasis, Notre Dame de Namur University, Belmont, CA – 1999

Los Angeles, CA – 1991

In September of 2007, I joined Adolescent Counseling Services, as the
Site Director for Redwood High School, a continuation high school in Redwood City. I manage the counseling program and supervise the clinical interns who provide therapy to the students at Redwood. In addition, I am the Director of the After-School Counseling Program at the ACS main office in Palo Alto.

From 2005-2008 I was a clinician at Esther B. Clark School in Palo Alto (part of Children’s Health Council), a therapeutic day school for special needs children and adolescents. I provided individual, group and family therapy at EBC for students from age 9 to 17.  In addition, I presented parenting workshops on the following topics: Internet safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychotropic medications, and siblings of special needs children/adolescents.

My five years at Pyramid Alternatives in Pacifica (2000-2005) provided me with an opportunity to work with a diverse population at a non-profit agency, which offers outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, an on-site school counseling program and group counseling for anger management, domestic violence and substance abuse issues. I taught a first offender DUI group, provided counseling on-site at a variety of public elementary, junior high and high schools, counseled private clients and managed the Outpatient Clinic.

Additional training and experience includes working for the City & County of San Francisco’s Employee Assistance Program (1999), where I provided short-term individual, group, couples and family therapy for city employees. I have also worked with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents in two different group homes in San Francisco (1998) and my first internship was with Adolescent Counseling Services in Palo Alto (at Gunn High School in 1998) providing individual and group counseling.
